My Practice Is Moving to Cologne – But Berlin Remains Close to My Heart

Starting September 2025, I will be based primarily in Cologne, where I will offer most of my treatments.

This new chapter fills me with excitement – and at the same time, Berlin continues to be an important part of my practice.

So, I will still be available one week per month in Berlin for in-person sessions.

What does that mean in practice?

  • In Cologne, I am available on a regular basis for ongoing treatments.
  • In Berlin, I continue to offer appointments – also for new clients, as long as they’re comfortable with a monthly treatment rhythm.
  • You can find the specific dates I’ll be in Berlin on Doctolib.

If you’re not sure whether this rhythm fits your needs, feel free to get in touch – I’m happy to support you in finding the best option.

A heartfelt thank you to my Berlin clients for your continued trust – and to those in Cologne: I look forward to meeting you!

Treatment Procedure

The initial appointment begins with a medical history discussion in which you can thoroughly explain your concerns. This is followed by an osteopathic examination to assess the mobility of your body and various body tissues.

Based on the osteopathic findings, manual osteopathic techniques are applied to stimulate the body's self-regulation.

The therapy may vary depending on your individual condition and typically lasts approximately 45-55 minutes. The number of necessary treatments and the intervals between them will be discussed individually after the first appointment.

If you are uncertain whether osteopathic treatment is suitable for you, I am happy to provide guidance over the phone or via email.

Costs

The treatments are to be paid for privately and depend on the scope and type of session.

Billing is based on the fee schedule for alternative practitioners.

I meet the requirements for subsidies from many statutory health insurance companies. Private health insurance companies and supplementary insurance for alternative practitioner services also reimburse part of the treatment costs in many cases. Please check with your health insurance provider in advance for specific conditions and reimbursement procedures.

After the treatment, you will receive an invoice, which you can submit for reimbursement if necessary.

If you have any questions about billing or the procedure, please feel free to contact me – I will advise you transparently and personally.

IMPORTANT:
Please cancel appointments at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
In case of late appointment cancellation, half of the price will be invoiced. In case of a no-show, the full price will be invoiced.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic approach that focuses on the interplay of body structures, functions, and systems. Manual techniques are used to promote balance and mobility in muscles, joints, tissues, and organs.

The primary emphasis is on the holistic view of the body to stimulate natural self-healing processes and enhance well-being.

From an osteopathic perspective, the body's function is to maintain a harmonious interplay of structure, function, and energy. This balance allows the body to self-regulate, heal, and function optimally.

Discomfort and dysfunction can occur when this natural equilibrium is disrupted. For example, physical injuries, chronic stress, poor posture, or other external factors can lead to tension and restricted mobility.

About Aya

I have Mozambican-Indian roots, which have exposed me to various cultures from the African continent, including the Adinkra symbols from Ghana. The symbol "Aya" is a part of this and plays an important role in Ghanaian culture. These symbols serve as a medium for communication and spiritual expression.

"Aya" symbolizes independence, freedom, and the principle of self-sufficiency and personal responsibility. Its meaning extends to the idea that every individual has the capability to shape their own life and make decisions. It encourages people to be self-confident and independent, to discover their own identity, and to find their own path.

The significance behind this symbol is close to my heart because I believe that every person possesses this capability. However, in our modern lives, we have, to some extent, forgotten to recognize it. Specifically related to our bodies, we have forgotten to listen to its signals and understand the language our bodies speak.

It is important to me to meet you on an equal footing, address your concerns individually, and understand you holistically in order to work together on your concerns.
